A nurse in England who lost her job because of her latex allergy just received a six-figure payment from her former employee. A recent article in UK’s Yorkshire Post says Jacqueline Foxton developed the allergy in 2004, one year after she begun employment with Wakefield West Primary Care Trust.

TechDevice Corp. has introduced minimally invasive medical balloons made out of guayule. Medical Product Manufacturing News calls this a BREAKTHROUGH because now balloon catheters with desirable characteristics such as tensile strength and durability are available without the hevea latex health risk.
