CleanTechnica, a blog about the latest trends in Clean Tech from renewable energy sources to less toxic electronics, posted the Top 5 Plants that Inspire New Technology today and guayule made the cut. It says guayule is one of the five plants with surprising super powers and is providing a boost to technological innovation with a green lining. 

Other crops that made the cut are: algae and its production of biofuels, corn and its ability to produce plastic, cockleburs and velcro derived from the plant, and the lotus plant the Lotus Effect.
