I read that the glove manufacturers are threatening to cut production if they don&#039;t get the price increases they&#039;re proposing because they need these to cover their own increased input costs. 

These include natural gas, natural rubber latex, nitrile latex, electricity, petrol, diesel, chemicals, packaging, transportation, and labor. 

So either way, prices will rise -- from scarcity if they cut back production or from the proposed increase if they maintain production but recover their costs.</description>
